Kira Botting

Kira Botting is an associate at the firm. She proudly represents individuals in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases with compassion, attention to detail, and dedicated advocacy.

Kira brings a decade of hands-on experience to her practice. She joined the firm in 2016 as a paralegal and shortly thereafter began Vermont’s Law Office Study Program. She has worked on complex injury cases through every stage of the legal process, including insurance claim negotiation, estate administration, litigation, mediation, arbitration, and trial. She is honored to help injury victims and families navigate what can often be an overwhelming process while recovering from their injuries or coping with the loss of a loved one.

Kira successfully completed the Law Office Study Program after four years of supervised apprenticeship under the firm’s experienced and knowledgeable partners, Cristina Rousseau and Kristin Ross. During that time, she worked closely with Cristina and Kristin on a wide array of injury matters, including car accidents, medical malpractice, product liability, wrongful death, and workers’ compensation claims. She went on to pass the Uniform Bar Exam with flying colors and become admitted to practice in Vermont. She is currently pending admission to practice in New Hampshire and the United States District Court for the District of Vermont.

Kira is a Notary Public and a member of the Vermont Bar Association, Vermont Association for Justice, New Hampshire Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, Grafton County Bar Association, and Vermont Queer Law & Policy Professionals. She currently serves as Chair of the Vermont Association for Justice’s CLE Planning Committee, Founding Co-Chair of the Vermont Bar Association’s Law Office Study Section, and a volunteer pro bono attorney with the Vermont Asylum Assistance Project.

Kira earned her undergraduate degree in Art History and Sociology from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. While at DePaul, she studied Law and Social Justice in partnership with the College of Law at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. Although she deeply values her experiences in Chicago and Berlin, she is grateful to call the Upper Valley home.

In her spare time, Kira enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting, climbing, yoga, and exploring the natural beauty of New England.
